Building our Future Update
📸 The “Building of Future” Committee, Members of the Board of Trustees, Owner’s Reps and key staff members meet to discuss recent remodeling plans.
We continue to walk together through this sacred season of anticipated replanting, a time of nurturing, tending and preparing the soil for the blossoming of our new spiritual home. Each step is guided by Spirit and rooted in our shared love for this community.
Since our last update (which you can read HERE), we’ve reached several important milestones:
On August 14th, we held our Team Kickoff Meeting with 21 engineers, consultants, architects, and owner’s reps, all dedicated to bringing our vision to life.
We held our first Interior Design meeting and a follow-up session, where the design of our new spaces began to take shape with beauty, functionality and a welcoming spirit.
By early November, we plan to submit architectural drawings to the City of Miami Gardens and begin permitting, with prayers to start renovations by year’s end.
These steps remind us that this project goes beyond walls and rooms; it is about creating a spiritual campus that uplifts our community. Like a gardener tending the soil, we move forward with love and wisdom guiding our vision.
Recently, I was inspired to create a new prayer for our building process. Affirm it with us often.
“We take a breath, center ourselves and remember - the very Spirit of God moves through and as us, moves through and as Unity on the Bay. It is in this awareness, that we affirm our new spiritual campus is a place of profound love and peace. Joy fills each room with the knowing that transformation is taking place within them. There is vibrant life uplifting each of our congregants and all who find their spiritual home with us. A spirit of service abides within our walls and infinite supply blesses us with all we need as we create our future. Unity on the Bay’s new campus is a haven of inspiration and a sanctuary of Divine Good. We are grateful for the spirit of grace and wisdom that guides us into this vision, and the love and faith that sustains us through it. And so it is, Amen.”
We are building more than a space. We are cultivating our future. Your faith, prayers, and consistent generosity are the true elements to make for this fertile soil where we are replanting.
I highly encourage you to stay committed to your generosity to your community by being part of our growing Circle of Faithful Giving. Not only will you make the soil more fertile, we also have gifts for your consistent faith in giving.
Love in service,
Rev. Juan
