Proposed new name, and more, shared at August Special Membership Meeting

On August 30, 2026 our community gathered for an important Special Membership Meeting as we continue preparing for our move to Miami Gardens and this exciting next chapter together.

During the meeting, leadership first shared updates on the renovation project, additional investments in technology and security, our financial strategy for the new property. Members then voted to increase the authorized expenditure for the purchase, renovation and improvement of the Miami Gardens property from $17 million to $20 million. We are deeply grateful for the trust and support of our members, with 100% of the votes cast in favor.

We also shared key findings (see slides below) from our branding research, which included information collected from focus groups, one-on-one meetings, and a community-wide survey.

Based on that research, the proposed new name Unity for All Spiritual Center was unveiled, reflecting the spirit of inclusivity, belonging and Oneness that has long been at the heart of our community.

It is important to emphasize that our name has not yet changed. Unity on the Bay will remain our official name until members vote to approve the necessary bylaws changes at a Special Membership Meeting later in 2026.
