What is membership?
Membership means committing to making Unity on the Bay your spiritual home, growing spiritually, and being an active participant within our spiritual community. Attendance at classes or events does not automatically make you a member.
Path to Membership
To become a member, it’s preferred that you attend our “What’s Unity” and “What’s Next?” sessions followed by a required New Member Orientation.
All upcoming sessions, and new member orientations, can be found on our calendar by sorting by event type “membership”.

This session helps those in our community understand the spiritual significance of giving talent and treasure and how it’s vital to the health of a spiritual community.

This orientations helps potential members understand what it means to be a member of Unity on the Bay including voting and the requirements to keep your membership active.

Keeping an active membership
In 2022, our membership voted to amend our By-Laws. One of those amendments was to membership requirements.
Section 3.3 of the ByLaws states “A member shall maintain active status by demonstrating dedication to the growth and expansion of this Ministry, as demonstrated through consistent financial support, regular attendance at services, and/or active involvement in programs and Sacred Service. Active members should also endeavor to support the mission and vision of this Ministry.”

Everyone committed to our spiritual community, especially Members, are encouraged to attend our monthly board meetings.
There will be a moment in the beginning to hear remarks from our community. Some of the agenda items include updates on the financial health of our community, a report about recent activities from our Senior Minister, and the blessings of outgoing tithes.
2024 Board Applications
Applications to run for a position on the Board of Trustees are now being accepted. You have until February 21st to apply. This is a powerful way to serve the community. For those who are interested in applying, we invite you to prayerfully consider it and then fill out the candidate application form linked below. Make sure you give yourself ample time to fill it out as it does not save until it is fully completed.
