Mindfulness and Positive Psychology are powerful partners for calming the mind and body in order to support deep healing. As our workplaces and lives seem to be speeding up, we're more distracted than ever. Our lost capacity to focus impacts our body's wellbeing; understanding the neuroscience behind attention training can reverse that. The new field of contemplative science demonstrates that mindfulness practice creates resilience against Alzheimers & dementia. Positive Psychology helps us reframe negative thought patterns. The tools of mindfulness and compassion training help create an embodied experience for increased overall wellness. Learn the "no side effects" prescription for happiness & healing with tips and techniques like lovingkindness, body scan and positive affirmations.

This workshop includes introductory experience of mindfulness practices, basic neuroscience overview and tips/techniques to relax the body and calm the mind; which is the state where healing takes place. Participants will leave with a recorded meditation, will learn a rapid response stress tool and expand their understanding of the heart-brain connection.
