What is the Fall Small Group Program all about?
The Fall Small Group Program is a seven-week small group journey to consciously deepen our awareness of our own courage and strength while creating friendships and bonds that can last a lifetime. The program is a unique combination of Sunday messages, meditations and in-home book study groups focused on seven themes drawn from the #1 New York Times best-selling book Daring Greatly: How the Courage to Be Vulnerable Transforms the Way We Live, Love, Parent, and Lead by acclaimed author and thought leader Dr. Brene Brown. What are in-home study groups?
Home study groups are a gathering of about 4-10 people that provides a sacred space for our spiritual community to connect with each other on a more personal basis as they discuss the week's readings and reflections. In addition, it provides small groups of like-minded people the opportunity to pray, learn and study together as we each deepen our understanding of spiritual principles. Groups will meet once a week for 7 weeks starting the week of Sunday, September 24th.

Based on twelve years of pioneering research, Dr. Brené Brown dispels the cultural myth that vulnerability is weakness and argues that it is, in truth, our most accurate measure of courage.
Brown explains how vulnerability is both the core of difficult emotions like fear, grief, and disappointment, and the birthplace of love, belonging, joy, empathy, innovation, and creativity. She writes: “When we shut ourselves off from vulnerability, we distance ourselves from the experiences that bring purpose and meaning to our lives.”
