An Inner Journey of Sacred Stewardship For many years, Unity on the Bay has conducted an annual campaign to raise money in support of our budget. Our continued growth in spiritual awareness has led us to change our approach to this annual effort. Beginning this year, we are adopting a new program titled, “Will You Grow?” The program seeks to raise our growing consciousness before raising funds.
“Will You Grow?” is designed to give each of us the opportunity to master the art of receiving guidance from God regarding all matters in our daily lives including financial. It also recognizes that as spiritual beings we are connected to an unlimited Source and through this connection, we give joyfully and generously. We know that as we cultivate and grow our own garden and the garden of Unity on the Bay, everything we give blesses and multiplies, for both the giver and the receiver.
A prayer based program, “Will You Grow?” invites us to dedicate a regular time of silence and reflection to contemplate the question, “what is my part to play in the financial well-being of my spiritual community during the coming year” The program encourages us to take an inward journey into sacred stewardship.
Sacred stewardship recognizes the honor and privilege that we have as guardians of Unity on the Bay. It trusts Unity on the Bay’s financial well being in the hands of each of us. It also recognizes that the individual support we offer is a very personal matter between ourselves and God.
Sacred stewardship changes our perception from asking the question “how do we raise enough money to fund our programs and services?” to trusting and knowing the growing God consciousness of each individual will manifest the right and perfect amount of financial giving.
Unity on the Bay affirms that Spirit is in charge. We choose to trust God’s guidance to each of our members and friends to fund our vision and mission, thus shaping our destiny.
