Position: Prayer Emissary
* Time Commitment: Serve at 3 Sunday Services, (9:00 AM, 11:00 AM or 1:15 PM) and 1 Wednesday service (7 PM); One to two hours calling and praying with congregants, one ½ hour silent prayer at the Silent
* Sanctuary and one 3-hour Meeting per month. (Approximately 10 hours per month).
* Service Period: One-Year Commitment – June 1, 2010 – May 31, 2011
Responsibilities:
Be willing to…..
* Maintain a personal prayer life.
* Accept and complete each assignment given with a cheerful heart.
* Be present at services for PE duty.
* Commit to monthly Prayer Requests calls with assigned team.
* Make home/hospital visits when necessary.
* Complete monthly written report on time.
* Communicate regularly with the Prayer Ministry.
* Attend mandatory orientation, training sessions and monthly meetings. * Be punctual and actively participate in all discussions.
* Through listening and respect of individuality, honor fellow prayer emissary’s’ growth process, as well as your own.
Requirements:
* Demonstrate a commitment to Unity principles.
* Show genuine interest and respect for the well being of congregants and other PEs.
* Hold a spiritual space of possibility, trusting that God is in charge.
* Hold all you hear in strict confidence.
* Learn to actively and empathetically listen.
* Pray with others.
