Welcome to the Unity on the Bay's Prayer Emissary Program! It is our blessed privilege to share the ideas of this program with you as you feel the call to grow and learn through service to others. Thank you, God! This program exists because of the selfless, dedicated service of those who have stepped into the role of Unity Prayer Emissary.
Our program is based on God as our Source. God is the center, the head and the heart of all we do. Remembering God first assists us in Holding Spiritual Space.
As a Prayer Emissary, we turn to God as our source and holding spiritual space
lovingly listen
hold what we hear in strict confidence
and pray out loud with others.
God is the source of all Power, regardless of all and any appearances. As Prayer Emissaries, we have the opportunity to hold that sacred, spiritual space with and for others to allow them to find this Truth within. Prayer, our own and with others, deepens our trust in God as our source and facilitates our ability to let go, and let God. Listening from our hearts and not form our heads is a skill we can each learn if we have a willing intention.
Myrtle Fillmore, co-founder of Unity, sums up what we believe our calling is: As you learn to see the fullness of Gods life and love and power and substance in others, you will know that you need not pour out your own to them. You will have the knowledge and the light to call their attention to what they have and to prompt them to use it. (Myrtle Fillmore, Healing Letters, pg 163)
As Prayer Emissaries, we are embarking on a path to deepen our own awareness of God as Source, and to hold that space for others through prayer. We are grateful for your presence and your willingness to recognize God as the Source of absolute Good! Please know that Rev. Gloriamaria and I hold you in a special place in our hearts and are here to support you on your journey.
Namaste!
