Prayer Emissary Commitment
My commitment as a Unity Prayer Emissary:
~ I commit to a daily spiritual journey, which is based on love, faith, prayer, and gratitude.
~ I commit to demonstrate an active commitment to Unity Principles and Beliefs in my daily life.
~ I commit to hold a spiritual space of possibility for others and myself, knowing and trusting that God is in charge.
~ I commit to prayer both with myself and with others.
~ I commit to express the desire and ability to actively listen to others.
~ I commit to honor others’ growth process through listening and honoring their individuality.
~ I commit to having and demonstrating a genuine interest in the well being of congregants and the other Prayer Emissaries.
~ I commit to hold all that I hear in strict confidence.
I agree to take action on these commitments through service at Unity on the Bay in the following ways:
~ Provide a minimum of 10 hours of monthly Prayer Emissary service.
~ Have a willingness to accept and complete each assignment given with a cheerful heart.
~ Provide an active loving presence, at services every month. I will be available to listen, greet newcomers or sit with those who are alone.
~ Make telephone calls to people requesting a call, at least three times a month.
~ Complete statistical in-service reports.
~ Maintain communication with team and PE staff as needed on a regular basis.
~ Attend all monthly meetings and annual training sessions.
~ Be punctual and actively participate in all discussions.
