Pastoral Care – Spiritual Support Facilitator Bios
Pastoral Care Leadership Council

Inge Sengelmann, LCSW, SEP
Chair, Pastoral Care Leadership Council
Spiritual Support Facilitator

My approach is to create a safe, caring and compassionate environment to facilitate processing difficult emotions so you can resolve past traumas, find meaning, build resilience, and experience lasting change. As a spiritual support facilitator, I help others access their intrinsic wisdom to resolve current problems, change long-standing patterns, find solutions to a wide range of life challenges, and grow through existential issues. I am a licensed clinical social worker and Somatic Experiencing® practitioner specializing in trauma resolution, mood disorders, addictions and recovery, eating disorders, and the integration of mind-body psychotherapy to address issues related to pain and illness and the chronic stress response. I have served as a prayer emissary since 2002 and integrate universal spiritual principles in my work.

As an ordained Interfaith Minister, I honor all people and all paths, one God, various names and many different understandings.  During spiritual support sessions, I remain open and receptive to learning and experiencing new and different ways to deepen our relationship with the Divine.  My specialty is working with grief and loss, as well as life transition issues. I have been a member of the Unity on the Bay prayer emissary program since 2003 and serve on the pastoral care leadership council.
