"Our consciousness is our real environment. The outer environment is always in correspondence to the thoughts making up our consciousness." -- Charles Fillmore
Being green can reduce your impact on the environment, be good for your health and save you money! Through simple yet significant measures, in unity and as part of the environment, we can all benefit.
Our Green Team meets about twice a month to plan events at Unity that promote awareness of the environment, transform Unity on the Bay into a greener community and demonstrate how to lead a greener life. We also participate in community events that support and promote sustainability.
Help Unity on the Bay Recycle Unity participates in a fundraising-thru-recycling program that helps us earn supplies, equipment, and even cash, simply by collecting ink cartridges, cell phones and small electronics. Look for the receptacles in our Reception and Veranda.
Why should we recycle? Recycling conserves the world's scarce natural resources by using recycled materials instead of trees, minerals, oil and other raw materials harvested from the earth. Recycling saves energy by reducing the need to process new material. There are more reasons to recycle!
