Webster’s Definition
a : the basic unit in society traditionally consisting of two parents rearing their own or adopted children; also : any of various social units differing from but regarded as equivalent to the traditional family <a single-parent family> b : spouse and children <want to spend more time with my family>
UOTB’s Definition
One or more adults rearing children under same or separate roof. Children can either be biological, adopted or under legal guardianship of adult(s).
Unity on the Bay is a reflection of South Florida’s diversity, and we value and honor the families of this wonderful diversity. Our Family Ministry allows today’s family to be connected and supported through their transforming spiritual growth.
Parenting & Family Programs
Our Parenting and Family Programs are presented from a transcend and include perspective. In recognizing the diversity of our South Florida families we at Unity on the Bay, transcend the social definitions of gender and parenting roles. Yet, we embrace and include these values in our parenting and family systems which allows us to manifest the best possible structure for children and parents.
